Here We Go

Here We Go

Hello Calgary,

This is a group that is near and dear to my heart. Many hours have gone into meeting with professionals and figuring out exactly how to do this, so here we go!

Strong Daughters is a peer support group for young adult women grieving the loss of a parent. Meetings are not facilitated by a counseling professional.

Grieving is an individual experience for everyone. But, the journey can be aided by being in community with those who share a common experience.

Who is this group for?

Women between the ages of 18-33 who are grieving the loss of a parent

What if I am over the age limit?

Please email yycdaughters@gmail.com for info on the 33 + group

What if my parent(s) passed away five years ago? Or, before I was 18?

All are welcome to join. The time and circumstances of your loss does not matter.

I don’t really like speaking in front of groups, will I have to talk?

Absolutely not, all participation is completely voluntary. You only share what you are comfortable with. We would still love to have you at the table.

Please share this information with anyone you know who might be interested.

Have a wonderful day,

-Kristin
